Fans of Rodeo, Country Music and Barbecue foods are invited to attend a free event in historic downtown San Juan Capistrano on Saturday, August 18th from 11 am to 4:30 pm. The Rodeo Week Kickoff Country BBQ, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Historic Town Center Park, one block South of Ortega Highway on El Camino Real.
The event will kick off the first ever ?Rodeo Week? in the community. The concert will feature two fantastic Country music acts; Justin Foutz and Brad Johnson & The Killin? Time Band. Foutz , who recently named the Los Angeles area?s Country Music Artist of the Year, will perform from 11:00 to 1:30. Johnson, whose Killin? Time Band was formed while serving our country in the United States Marine Corps, will play between 2 and 4:30.
The concert will also feature three well regarded food trucks which specialize in BBQ themed foods. The Burnt Truck offers a variety of Gourmet Sliders, Dogzilla serves many creative twists on Hot Dogs, and Shortstop BBQ will showcase a number of ?Real Southern California BBQ? dishes.
There will also be a bounce house and a station for learning how to rope a ?roping dummy? for kids. Grown up ?kids? are welcome to try their hand at roping as well.
